La Vierge The Affair Pinot Noir
A refined, silky Pinot Noir from La Vierge, on the cool Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge near Hermanus. The estate's dryland vineyards grow on virgin Bokkeveld shale soils, cooled by sea breezes, giving fresh, elegant wines.
The Affair is all about balance: a love affair between the soft side of Pinot Noir, with its floral notes, hint of spice and silky texture, and the firmer side, with fine tannins, a touch of oak and dark forest floor aromas.
