Wagyu Biltong Traditional Bites

takes beef biltong and wagyu to a whole new level. The taste and texture is sensational with the delicate monounsaturated fats giving a whole new flavour dimension. Our grass fed wagyu biltong is sold in chunks or sticks. We know biltong, so we do not slice and prepackage our biltong. It is packaged to order, so you can appreciate it as if you chose the piece yourself. Wagyu Biltong Bites are thin strips of biltong so are drier, but still has the juiciness of the wagyu fat running through it. We came up with the idea of using Wagyu to make biltong after seeing Wagyu on a television show in December 2015. In January 2016, we set up wagyubiltong. After doing some research, we contacted Highland Wagyu and spoke to Martine, the owner, who was excited about the idea. The rest, they say, is history. Wagyu is high in monounsaturated fats and is a good source of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fats. Wagyu fat is therefore liquid at a low temperature, so even though there is a high fat content, it's not 'fatty'. The Wagyu fat in Wagyu Biltong dissolves on the pallet without leaving a fatty feeling. It's buttery and delicate and tastes quite different to normal beef biltong. Our Wagyu beef comes from Highland Wagyu who produce the best Wagyu cattle in the UK.

Ingredients: Beef, vinegar (barley malt extract), salt, maize, flavour enhancer (MSG), sugar, colourants, spices, herbs, celery extract, potassium sorbate, potassium metabisulphite.

Wagyu bites

Very tasty but a tad pricey. Besides the price I cannot fault the product

Wagyu is pricey. The beef is 5 years old when processed rather than the usual beef which is around 14 months, so costs about 4 times more to breed which is, of course, reflected in the price. We also use the best wagyu that the UK has to offer. We are glad you enjoyed the product that we have been proudly supplying Selfridges for the last 7 years.
