It is wonderful to be able to obtain products I grew up with that are unavailable here, albeit in a limited range. However, it is disappointing nearly half of them are out of stock whilst some, such as the Ingrams Camphor Cream are showing signs of 'shrink flation' – always been 500g from other retailers.

The people I deal with – could be the owners, are absolutely brilliant and fantastic – so helpful, understanding and kind, wonderful to do business with.

A major advantage dealing with Best Biltong – Your South African Shop is free delivery after incurring a reasonable spend. Most I have dealt with do not provide this service which makes it prohibitively expensive to continue patronising them.

Really good gem squashes

Tried 3 sources and this is my preferred

Ordered garlic, classic and chilli. All were excellent but the chilli is definitely now my favourite

I ordered some of their pre cut biltong meat (2kg) and it's really good quality. Only thing I wasn't too keen on is that they are very thick. I prefer mine sliced thinner. Just a personal preference.

Well it took some time to get to me. But I did want dry. Little bit more fat would nice. Apart from that one of the best biltong that I have had out of south africa 🇿🇦 🙌

No matter how long one has lived away from home, the taste of the food is one of strongest reminders of what one is missing and my wife and I are no exceptions.

On this occasion it is fantastic to have been able to buy gem squashes – the last time I ate one is over 26 years ago and boy, it was delicious so must get more because they are an unknown vegetable in the UK.

Except for the mistake I made, all the products are brilliant and made me think of home so will be ordering more.
