An award-winning, easy-going Cabernet Sauvignon from The High Road, a boutique Stellenbosch winery founded in 2003 that specialises in Bordeaux-style red wines. Approachable and as welcoming as an old friend, it's just as good for a relaxed evening as a special dinner.
Tasting notes
Garnet with a plum-red rim. Aromas of cherry, ripe plum and blueberry, with hints of tobacco and cassis. The palate is vibrant with red and black fruit, a textured mid-palate, firm tannins and a fresh finish.
Food pairing
Steak from the braai, roast beef or lamb, rich stews and mature hard cheeses.
