Simonsig Labyrinth Cabernet Sauvignon
A classic Stellenbosch Cabernet Sauvignon from Simonsig's Malan Vineyard Selection, made from three select vineyard sites, one of which is planted as a labyrinth. Aged in French oak barrels, and highly rated by South Africa's Platter's Wine Guide.
Tasting notes
Deep crimson in colour. Ripe summer berries and dark fruit on the nose, with savoury notes and a hint of crushed-stone minerality. The palate is concentrated but refined, with creamy richness, fine tannins, bright acidity and a long finish.
Food pairing
Braised short rib, lamb ribs, a good steak or hearty pasta.
